The event is a whole day of learning with fellow resource persons coming from ABS CBN, GMA 7, and Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism. Though the theme for the event centers on the challenges of citizen journalism and new media, Web Safety PH founder taught them how to use Social Web Responsibly:
- To always use common sense
- To make their words sweet, so if they need to eat their own words, it is palatable
- To apply “buoyant force leadership” [add value to others so the value you give out returns to you]
- To begin with the end in mind, in personal branding
- To be proactive in managing their online reputation.
The discussion is summed up on being smart and safe online. Here are some of the pics:

The seminar had been very effective. Effective in the sense, that our minds have been opened to the reality regarding the world wide web. We knew lots of informations about the benefits and threats that the web could bring on our present and future lives. And by this time, because of Mr. Santos’ bunch of thoughts and ideas, we are now ready to intelligently deal with the universe through the web.
Ohh, glad to add value to you and your group Domy. Thanks for the opportunity. BTW I liked your metal sculpture, very “manly” yet cool =)
Agree! It’s really an eye opener. And now little by littIe I am starting to edit my account settings for security. “Self impression = People’s Impression”. Thanks for sharing your advocacy to us.
Wow….very glad to read the comments regarding our speaker….hehehe..
Anyways, in my own perception I came to realize that it is not the quantity of the participants in the seminar that counts it is actually how conducive the learning is that matters. Great ang mga speakers Great ang learning God Bless. I pity those who missed it.
