One Slide of Watcha Webtrap! Youth Edition

The 1st  web safety seminar outside of Luzon, and the 1st in Mindanao.

Students of Management, Marketing and IT trooped to their auditorium  for a day of learning. They were treated to  a simulation, lecture and workshop on the practical aspect of social web, including web safety, marketing and brand management. As an added bonus, “Chuck”, the TV series was incorporated to the program.

The students learned that if social web is used ignorantly or irresponsibly, what they share at present may seem funny and not harmless, but can actually hurt them and others in the future.  Series of examples were given to substantiate the harm brought to individuals, families and brand, and the potential to use social web to add value to0. On the sides, they were also given tips, on how to earn online.

One of the highlights of the lecture is the slidecast that inspires them to pursue their dream.

Per initial feedback, some students began setting up personal blogs to position their personal brand and highlight their passion, and most have reset the privacy settings of their Facebook account. I had so much fun working with them.
