Update 1/20/11: Facebook delays implementation
Recent development in Facebook shows that your home address and phone numbers are now shared to 3rd party developers as announced in their developers blog.
Sophos questioned the move saying the dangers outweigh the benefits, since Facebook are now plagued with rogue applications.
My take on the issue: There is no such thing as free lunch. While we use Facebook for free, someone else is paying the bills. And this is in exchange to the info we chose to share. Unfortunately, not all are careful with what they share.
Just a piece of advice to our readers, the less private info you share, the better.
